The Bakersfield Symphony Orchestra is a fantastic entertainment venue. They perform about 12 concerts per season. In 2005 Bakersfield Symphony contracted to have us re-design their current web site and develop an ecommerce feature. The new look has a very classic feel to it, but the heart of the new web site is the Ticket Wizard.

Ticket Wizard is an online real-time ticket purchasing system.

The Best Available features allows the web site visitor to choose the event they want to attend, the theater section they desire, and how many tickets they wish to purchase. The system will then return the best available seats in the theater for them to purchase. The system is smart enough to pick seats that are next to each other that are still available.

The Ticket Wizard is currently entering into its second concert season with the Bakersfield Symphony Orchestra and has proven to be a valuable asset as well as a time saver for the staff who manage the 50,000 + ticket sales each season.

This site is actually a private intranet system for Applied Technology Group, Inc. ("ATG")

We have been working with ATG for the past 5 years in developing this system and the development of the system is constantly evolving. This system is so complex that its presentation and its data are kept on separate servers.

To date there are over 10,000 scripts that work their magic behind the scenes to make life a bit easier for the 40+ employees of ATG.
